Zoi’s research grapples with spatial experiences in museums and cultural institutions and explores how a synergy between spatial, curatorial and public programming practices can afford active, critical and embodied engagement. As a PhD candidate in the JUST ART project, she will expand this research through a multispecies justice lens, towards unsettling and reimagining institutional existence.
In 2026, Zoi served as local curator for the Art Feeds Collective Residency hosted by the Municipality of Almere under the curatorial theme “Edible Commons: Performing the Future of Food.” The residency was part of a Creative Europe project organised by BJCEM and Feed Your Future, exploring the intersection of food, climate justice, and art activism. In 2025, she worked as exhibition designer and project manager for the decolonial exhibitionary intervention Staged Histories, Living Stories in the Kartinizaal at the University of Amsterdam, led by Dr. Corina L. Apostol. Between 2025 and 2026, as resident programme curator at VOX-POP, UvA, she curated and produced Spatial Encounters, a series of public programs at the intersection of art, social justice and spatial design, as well as the exhibition Printed Matters: The Politics and Aesthetics of Independent Publications.
